so much for saying i'm charged up for cast. i couldn't wake up this morning for dance prac!! hate myself for that. woke up at 1pm. got my lazy bum out to tuition at bedok (east side of singapore). proud that i took the mrt and buses to get there. cab fees would have cost $15, doesn't make sense to teach tuition and throw part of it to cabbie.

reached bedok interchange, man there was a huge pasar malam (neighbourhood bazaar) going on. it had a wide variety of food. singapore is really a food haven and i love singapore for that! past the bazaar, and within a few steps is the crowded bedok hawker centre. WOAH i remembered my favourite yam paste with gingko nut. hee i indulged in that since i was still early for tuition. i sat with an old lady eating her dessert too. she left after i sat for awhile.

hmmm something not too pleasant happened after she left. this old man came by with a cigarette (not the usual sort) in his hands. he took the bowl of unfinished dessert the old lady left on the table and started to lick and drink it up. people around gave the disgusted or disapproving look. i felt sad and scared inside. hmm i felt like giving him some cash to go buy food? yet the cigarette in his hands made me wonder if he had used all his cash on those harmful drugs. sigh. what a dilemma.
sad thing to witness. i thought of leaving my dessert unfinished and let him come by later to eat again? hmmm i left the table feeling that bit upset. are there many old folks who have little or none to eat everyday? i feel extremely bad that i can feast and choose, pick and even be fussy (esp with hall food). oh how fortunate we are.

now back to the urgent pressing matter: my STUDIES! *slaps myself* i've been sucha pig on the bed lately. 10 hours of beauty sleep! heh i'm pretty dead.
tonight i set out to do linear algebra - the 4 tutorials. morning i'll start on chemistry. the Lord gives me strength and wisdom i pray. =)
